It is good to do good deeds, no matter how the devil rages around you.
Thankfully, there are many people out there who are doing the will and the work of Almighty God.
They are feeding the hungry.
They are clothing the poor.
They are loving those who need it.
They are serving wherever they are assigned.
They are working in the field and not lounging lazily in the house of God.
They also bravely face the ‘push back‘ or consequences of being on the spiritual battlefield. When we do good, especially for others, we win souls for Christ and we gain territory. As such, the enemy often set up a counter attack to have you back off.
I am quite familiar with this type of strategy. Recently, I was working on a project for my church, which involved planning, designing and putting things in place to for a service to celebrate our Pastor. With days to go, my laptop computer fell and the screen was cracked.
As you may know, I am a freelance writer and author; among other things. I work strictly with my computer. briefly, i felt seized by fear, from the possibility of lost income and the resulting issues that would arise.
This was something that I had both feared and sensed would happen. Thankfully, I had a computer monitor and I had most of my files backed up externally. If the Lord, did not prepare me for such an eventuality, I would have been lost. Mind you, it could have been prevented as well, because I missed the prompting to adjust my actions at the time.
So you see, when you decide to do good deeds or simply carry out your tasks within the ministry, the evil one will try to sabotage you. However, God prepares you to either evade, withstand or counter attack.
Remember, never wallow in self-pity, anger, fear or doubt when this happens. Just know that it will and pray for God to prepare you for dealing with it.
When you feel the pressures of an attack, get into a mode of praise and worship.
Pray to the father that you may resist the evil one and he will flee from you.
Incorporate fasting into your christian life and never stop doing God’s work.
Remember…
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.-1 John 4:4 KJV
