Purpose, Calling & Work
Explore purpose, vocation, service, stewardship, and faithful Christian witness in the places where God has called you to live and work.
God’s purposes for your life extend beyond a job title, church office, business, or public platform. As a Christian, you are called first to follow Jesus Christ and live faithfully wherever you have been placed. Purpose can be expressed through family responsibilities, everyday work, service to neighbours, creative gifts, education, leadership, and ministry. This section is for believers discerning their next step, those experiencing a career transition, people serving without formal titles, and Christians who want their daily responsibilities to reflect their faith.
Recognizing a calling calls for prayerful reflection, attention to Scripture, wise counsel, an honest understanding of your abilities and circumstances, and patience when a direction is not yet clear. Opportunities, setbacks, and significant life changes may all invite you to reassess your priorities. You do not have to manufacture certainty or assume that every open or closed door is a direct instruction from God. Instead, consider how obedience, sound judgment, preparation, humility, and service work together as you make decisions.
Faith should also shape how you conduct yourself at work and in your community. Integrity, diligence, fairness, stewardship, and care for others matter whether you are employed, self-employed, studying, unemployed, volunteering, or preparing for a new role. Understand calling as faithfulness to God, not merely a title or platform.
Bring Christian integrity, excellence, wisdom, and service into everyday work.
