It’s that time of year; a season of trials, which I must pass. I have taken notice, that over the last four or five years, I experience serious, even life threatening trials, during the Easter period.
When you have experienced, car crashes, damages, theft, persecution and many other stressful occurrences, one is bound to stop and take note. This month was no different. A lady ran out in front of my car on the highway and I knew it was game on.
During this time, I felt so scattered and couldn’t focus on writing or work. The accident kept looping through my mind. It’s incredible how fast life happens and how slow we are to react to them.
It’s hard to focus when you see the trap the enemy lays out for you.
In truth, I am tired. I am in a season of trials. Every year, at this time, I am called into the examination room of life and tried; but, I am tired.
There were no stories, declarations or academic insight swirling in my mind; however, I sought to pray.
God allowed John Eckhardt’s book, Prayers that Rout Demons, to cross my path one Sunday evening; after which I was impressed to get the eBook and pray these prayers daily.
The accident occurred on day 3 of those prayers. Yes, it was clear that the enemy did not like my prayers. However, in the midst of it all, I saw the hand and order of God. He is the master chess player. He shows out the thief, liar and extort-er for who they are and what they are about.
I thank God for delivering me, because it could have been worse. He has shielded me from the fowler many times. He has confounded the liar, this I watched in the police station; no one is exempt from His power.
So, I thank Him for his protection.
In Jesus name amen.
