The students of the Word of Almighty God are aware that the bible is filled with many parallels and passages, which are applicable to different points in history.
I read Malachi 4 a few nights ago, but this time I was receiving revelation that was hidden to me before.
As I read the words vs. listening to them, my thinking strayed towards the hot temperatures we have experienced; the hottest since records have been kept, so says climate experts.
Malachi 4:1-6 (NLT)
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies says, “The day of judgment is coming, burning like a furnace. On that day the arrogant and the wicked will be burned up like straw. They will be consumed—roots, branches, and all.
“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. On the day when I act, you will tread upon the wicked as if they were dust under your feet,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “
Remember to obey the Law of Moses, my servant—all the decrees and regulations that I gave him on Mount Sinai for all Israel. “
Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.”
This chapter speaks about a coming judgement. However, I was specifically drawn to “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise…” I knew this was in reference to Jesus. But God communicated to my spirit that in these last days, demonic spirits will feel the impeding return of Jesus Christ just as we feel the heat of the sun.
After all, He is the Morning Star. It is not a coincidence that these names are used for Him, Christ Jesus.
Malachi gave this warning just before the world plunged into the Dark Ages. Now, we are experiencing forbearing natural incidents that causes alarm and trepidation in many. The world is hotter than it has ever been. There are droughts, floods, immense deforestation, pollution etc.
This chapter also comes with instructions from God to His people. He asks that we obey all the laws he gave to Moses. Did you know that these are the laws, not only for humanity but also of heaven?
We must prove ourselves obedient and faithful to them here on earth, so that we qualify for heaven.
God also foretells of the defeat of the enemy, for the sons and daughters of God. It shall be so thorough, the enemy is likened unto dust.
Praise God!
I urge you to obey His commandments and heed God’s warnings “Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.”
Selah.
