Revealing the Truth about The Benefits of Walking in God’s Wisdom

The Life of a 21st Century Prophet

The bible encourages us ‘to covet the best gifts’.

One of the gifts of the spirit is wisdom. King Solomon, son of king David, asked God for wisdom and he was known as the wisest man. This made him a great king.

And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. 1 Kings 4:30 KJV

So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. 1 Kings 10:23 KJV

And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom. 1 Kings 4:34 KJV

He was able to handle disputes among his people justly and fairly. He had the gift of discernment. A benefit of wisdom.

Benefits of Walking in God’s Wisdom

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. Proverbs 3:13‭-‬14 KJV

So here it states that one benefit of walking in God’s wisdom is happiness.

This chapter goes on to identify others, such as:

  • Length of days
  • Riches
  • Honour

As children of God, we can pray to Jehovah, asking in faith and as the scripture tells us, He gives liberally.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5 KJV

Importance of Seeking Wisdom

Having wisdom is essential in being an effective spiritual warrior. It allows you to expertly select and utilize the weapons of warfare. These include:

  • Prayer
  • Fasting
  • Worship
  • Declarations
  • The Word of God

Another importance of seeking wisdom, is that with wisdom you gain an understanding of spiritual warfare. You become a soldier who is always prepared for battle and wears his armour at all times.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:10‭-‬11 KJV

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:13‭-17 KJV

  • Truth
  • Righteousness
  • The Gospel
  • Faith
  • Salvation
  • The Word of God

Wisdom allows you to devise strategies, act in the right timing; to identify and understand the devices of the enemy.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV

Knowing who and where your enemies are, makes you more effective in prayer. People are not your enemies, demonic entities are your true enemies. They motivate people to come against. They are the master strategists. As such, you must direct your spiritual assaults against them.

The benefits of walking in wisdom enhances you spiritually, mentally and physically. It enriches your relationship with people and with Jehovah God. It allows you to progressively and continuously live a life that is pleasing to Yahweh.

I hope these words were of benefit to you. I pray that you store them in your heart and grow in the knowledge of Christ our Lord and Saviour.
