To Thine Own Self Be True

Nothing in life matters more than your happiness and contentment. To thine own self be true. Do so purely, without hate, envy, anger or spite.
But it is even better to do so with God Almighty.
Many of us go through life trying to be a copy of someone else. This should never be. We ought to be an original. We must aim to be as authentic as possible because we all have a different path and purpose in life.
We live in a time of cosmetic surgery. We live in a time where people spend tens of thousands of dollars trying to look like the next big celebrity.
Tis a pity!
Why should we aspire to be a clone, when we were created to be the genuine article?
If you are battling with self-doubt, low self-esteem or pure unadulterated self-hate, remember, God loves you just the way you are.
He created you. He woke you up this morning. He is trying to get into a closer relationship with you.
Never compromise and try to be someone else, or try to live someone else’s life.
Forge your own path and enjoy the journey. To thine own self be true.
Be encouraged.
You must realize, however, that in the last days difficult times will come. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy. – Timothy 3:1-2
I will give thanks to you because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this. – Psalm 139:14
For no one has ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it, as the Messiah does the church. – Ephesians 5:29
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8
