Never Underestimate the Power of Prayer

Never underestimate the power of prayer. One small prayer, to God, can change your life dramatically.

God is good and he is faithful to His people and His servants. That is why it is important to look back and give him all the honor. To testify so that others will know of His goodness and all that he has done for you.

My Testimony

I remember when I was in trouble. I was passing through challenging times. Spiritual battle surrounded me seriously. Those were the times when I was alone and nobody – not my children, no one was around. 

Every one of them left because of my challenges.

I prayed to God Almighty to set me free from the bondage of my enemies and to do for me, what was more than my imagination. I prayed and asked God to give me a wife because I can’t do it alone. In the past, I would do things alone without asking for God’s guidance and help. And I would fail.

Following that path nearly took my life. I survived because I gave my life to Jesus Christ.

Remember, it’s always good to ask God whatsoever you want to do in life. God invites us to keep asking, seeking, and knocking.

Read Matthew 7:7-11

7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

God truly answered my prayers, in big ways.

He gave me wife – my blood, my bone. Where and when I did not expect it or deserve it. Since I was born, no one celebrated my birthday. Never in my life. But my wife, she is the one. She was the first person who celebrated my birthday.

She surprised me and showed me how to celebrate someone you love on their special day.

What I think I can’t do; she encourages me to be doing it. Even where I’m living; I’m not dreaming it. So, with all these blessings and manifestations in my life, I knew God answered my prayers. This gives me confidence that our God answers prayers.

A wedding that I’m not dreaming about, although I love weddings. However, just because of my situations and challenges before, I am not thinking of it. I did not think that I could achieve it. But God allowed me to have a wedding with my wife.

Hallelujah! Glory be to God.

I, who many have forgotten, I praise you Oh Lord. I that they have said, nothing good can come out from. God had blessed me and given me many good blessings.

John 1:46

46 And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

I will always praise you oh Lord. You have done wonderful things in my life.

Jabez Prayer

Jabez prayed to God and granted him that which he requested.

Read 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name [a]Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.”

10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my [b]territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.

Remember

Prayer is the raising of one’s mind and heart to God or requesting good things from God. Prayer is powerful because God commands us to do it and is a way of daily communicating with Him.

Prayer invites the Holy Spirit into your life. Prayer restores your soul. Pray and do not give up until something happens.
