Triumphing through Trials: Embracing the Bumpy Road to Success
By: Jeremiah, Servant of the Living God
Don’t perceive yourself as a failure, even if others may see you that way. Remember, the road to success is always under construction; don’t expect a smooth journey.

During your pursuit of success, you may encounter temptation, challenges, and troubles. You might even face sickness.
If you’re facing any sickness, believe that you are on the path to success, and it may not be easy.
Others may look at your sickness and assume the worst, but don’t let that define you. Take inspiration from Psalms 118:5-18 and stand strong.
Psalm 118:5-18 (NKJV)
5 I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.
6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
7 The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes.
10 All nations surrounded me, But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
11 They surrounded me, Yes, they surrounded me; But in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.
12 They surrounded me like bees; They were quenched like a fire of thorns; For in the name of the Lord I will [a]destroy them.
13 You pushed me violently, that I might fall, But the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord.
18 The Lord has chastened[b] me severely, But He has not given me over to death.
When you need God’s intervention in your life, pray to Him. During your prayers, be patient, calm, and have faith that your prayers have been heard (James 1:2-8).
I remember a time when I secluded myself on a mountain, and people criticized me, saying I wasn’t serious about praying.
It was a temptation to listen to their voices, but I knew what I needed from God.
Temptations can come in various forms, but like David when he was cursed by Shimei (2 Samuel 16:5-14), I closed my ears to negativity and distractions. I was determined not to let others confuse me before embarking on my prayers.
The road to success may seem like a battlefield with troubles and curses, but surrender everything to God. He is your redeemer and will fight your battles.
Exodus 14:14 (KJV)
“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Stay calm and patient, drawing strength from Exodus 14:14 and Isaiah 26:4.
Isaiah 26:4 (KJV)
“Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.”
Remind yourself constantly that you are not a failure. Embrace the challenges as part of the journey to success, and let this awareness boost your confidence.
Keep seeking God day and night, as emphasized in Isaiah 59:1-2, for He is always there to listen and guide you.
Bible Reading:
- Isaiah 43: 1-13
- Isaiah 38:1-5
- Jeremiah 17:5
