The Christian Life: How Do You Bear Trials?
By: Denise N. Fyffe
Remember God leaves you in difficulties, and trials at times to test HOW you bear it, not CAN you bear it. So be gracious, patient, praying, and enduring. Prove to him you are worthy to Prove Him as your God.
In the journey of faith, we may encounter seasons of difficulties and trials that test the depths of our character and trust in God. It’s important to remember that these challenges are not meant to question our ability to endure them but rather to reveal how we bear them.
In such moments, God observes our response to adversity, seeking to see whether we will remain gracious, patient, and faithful in prayer. These trials offer an opportunity to prove ourselves worthy of experiencing the fullness of God’s power and provision in our lives. Let us embrace these testing times with steadfast endurance, knowing that as we demonstrate unwavering faith, we also prove to Him that He is truly our God.
“But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” – Job 23:10 (NIV)
Job, in the midst of severe trials and suffering, expressed his trust in God’s knowledge of his circumstances. He acknowledged that God was aware of the path he was walking and that God’s refining process in his life was like purifying gold.
This verse reminds us that trials are not meant to break us but to refine us like precious metals going through the fire to become more valuable and pure. As we endure the challenges that God allows, let us remain steadfast in the faith, knowing that our responses will shape us into vessels worthy of God’s powerful and transformative presence in our lives.
