Testimony Thursday: Tell Your Story, Embracing Purpose in Pain
By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God

I stand here today, compelled to share my story, for it is a journey of pain, struggles, and triumphs that have shaped who I am. I will not be intimidated into silence, for telling my story is a crucial step in releasing the pains that reside within me and finding healing.
Throughout my experiences, I have realized that no one else can tell my story better than I can. These hardships were mine to bear, and they were not in vain. In the depths of my struggles, I have discovered purpose – a purpose that emerges from my pain and transforms into powerful testimonies.
My Testimonies
I believe that my testimonies hold the potential to inspire hope in others who are walking a similar path of darkness. By sharing my journey, I offer comfort, peace, joy, and hope to those who need it most. My experiences, though difficult, were not meant for me to keep to myself. They are meant to be shared, as they carry the capacity to release others from the burdens they carry.
I am unashamed of my stories, for I know that someone out there is eagerly waiting to find solace in my words. It is through the telling of my testimonies that I find my ministry, my calling to reach out and comfort those in need. My struggles were not in vain; they were part of God’s plan to equip, rebuild, and elevate me to my true purpose.
“Tell your story. You are the one going through it. Don’t let no one intimidate you of telling your story. Telling it is away of releasing your pains, and in the process of healing within.”-Colline Goulbourne
The Brokenness
The brokenness I endured in the past year was a necessary stepping stone, pushing me into this victorious year and season. God saw fit to build His character within me by breaking and molding me in the process. Through this journey, He has taught me humility, obedience, and patience, laying the foundation for His divine plans to manifest in and through my life for His glory.
Bible Verses:
- Psalm 34:18 (NIV) – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
- 2 Corinthians 1:4 (NIV) – “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
- Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
- Romans 5:3-4 (NIV) – “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
- 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) – “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Let these verses reinforce your understanding of the purpose in your pain and struggles. Embrace your journey, knowing that God’s grace is sufficient and that your testimonies hold the power to bring comfort and hope to others. Trust in His divine plan, and allow His character to shine through you for His glory. Be encouraged and share your story fearlessly!
Conclusion: Victory Season
As I move forward, I embrace this victory season, allowing God’s plans to unfold. I will complete each task with dedication, following His will and way. I find encouragement in knowing that my struggles were not in vain and that my story has the potential to change lives. I will continue to share my testimonies with those whom God brings into my path, offering comfort and hope to those who need it most.
Be blessed!
