Testimony Thursday: Finding Peace and Joy in God, Being Christ-like
By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God

In life, true peace and joy come from God alone, through Jesus our Savior and Redeemer. No man or woman can provide us with the profound peace and joy that comes from a deep relationship with God.
A Call to Transformation
To preach about ‘peace and joy,’ we must first experience it in our own lives. It is not the time to harbor bitterness, but rather, it is a time to become better in Christ Jesus. As we allow God to work in us, we become vessels that He can use for His glory.
Leading by Example
We cannot effectively share the message of ‘peace and joy’ if we do not embody it ourselves. Our lives must reflect the love and grace of Christ, showing others the transformative power of His presence in our hearts.
Living Love and Godly Qualities
Let us live lives filled with love, compassion, and Godly qualities, demonstrating what it truly means to be Christ-like. Our actions and attitudes should invite others to experience the peace and joy that we have found in Christ.
Inviting Others to God
Through our Christ-like example, we become a beacon of hope for those on the outside looking in. By living out Godly qualities, we create a welcoming environment that draws others closer to God.
Bible Verses:
- Philippians 4:7 (NIV) – “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
- Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV) – “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
- Colossians 3:15 (NIV) – “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
- 1 Peter 3:8 (NIV) – “Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.”
- Matthew 5:16 (NIV) – “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Let these verses remind us of the peace and joy found in Christ and inspire us to be living examples of His love. By embodying these qualities, we can lead others to experience the transformative power of God’s grace and find true peace and joy in Him. Be encouraged to walk in the path of Christ, radiating His love to those around us.
Conclusion: Embodying Peace and Joy
As we experience the peace and joy that only God can provide, let us share this message with authenticity and sincerity. May we become living testimonies of Christ’s transformative power, allowing His love to flow through us and inspire others to seek Him.
Be encouraged to be vessels of peace and joy, shining the light of Christ for all to see.

Meditate on God’s Word
Many Christians struggle daily to live according to God’s word. But we need daily nourishment. That is why it is important to read your bible daily; even if it is a few verses and meditate on them.
