Testimony Thursday: Waiting Patiently for God’s Glory and Victory
By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God
A beautiful thought came to mind the other day, reminding us of the importance of patience and trust in God’s timing. When we rush through situations and processes, we may miss out on the unfolding of God’s glory and His plans for us. Instead, let us be encouraged to wait patiently on God as we navigate through the challenges and trials.
The Purpose of Waiting
As we wait on God’s timing, we allow His divine plans to come to fruition in our lives. It is during this waiting period that God molds and prepares us, strengthening our faith and character for the victorious outcome He has in store.
Finding Encouragement in Patience
Though waiting may be difficult, it is in the process that we discover God’s faithfulness and provision. His blessings and favor are bestowed upon us even as we face trials, propelling us towards the ultimate victory He has planned.
Becoming Victorious in God’s Timing
When we trust in God’s perfect timing, we can be assured of the victorious end result. As we go through the process, God works in and through us, preparing us for the blessings that await on the other side.
Bible Verses:
- Psalm 27:14 (NIV) – “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
- Isaiah 40:31 (NIV) – “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
- Psalm 37:7 (NIV) – “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways when they carry out their wicked schemes.”
- Romans 8:25 (NIV) – “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”
- Isaiah 64:4 (NIV) – “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.”
Let these verses remind us of the beauty of waiting on God’s timing and trusting in His plans. May our hearts find encouragement in the knowledge that through patience and faith, we will emerge victorious with God’s glory shining upon us. Be encouraged to wait upon the Lord, for His blessings and favor await on the other side of the process.
Conclusion: Embracing God’s Timing
Let us embrace the beauty of waiting patiently on God’s timing. As we do so, His glory will shine through, and His plans for us will be revealed. Be encouraged to trust in God’s faithfulness and remain steadfast through the process. For in His perfect timing, we will emerge victorious, blessed, and favored beyond measure.

Meditate on God’s Word
Many Christians struggle daily to live according to God’s word. But we need daily nourishment. That is why it is important to read your bible daily; even if it is a few verses and meditate on them.
