Heartfelt Season’s Greetings – Embracing the True Reason for the Season

With warm hearts and joyous anticipation, we send our early Season’s Greetings to each one of you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As we approach the month of December, our hearts are filled with gratitude and excitement for the festivities that lie ahead.

We, at Revealing the Christian Life Ministry, want to take this moment to thank you from the depths of our souls for your unwavering support and dedication to our mission throughout the year.

The Reason for the Season

Amidst the cheerful celebrations and the exchange of gifts, it is crucial to remind ourselves of the true reason for the season. December is a time when we commemorate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His coming into the world, wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger, was the greatest gift humanity has ever received.

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” – Luke 2:11 (NIV)

Blessing Others from the Heart

As we immerse ourselves in the spirit of Christmas, let us remember the profound significance of love, compassion, and selflessness. The essence of this season lies in blessing others, just as Christ’s birth blessed the world with hope and redemption. Let us be mindful to reach out to those in need, to extend a helping hand, and to share the love of Christ with all whom we encounter.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV)

Steering Clear of Commercialization

In the midst of the festive buzz, it is easy to get caught up in the commercialization of Christmas. Yet, as followers of Christ, we are called to treasure the true essence of this season in our hearts. Let us resist the allure of materialism and instead focus on nurturing meaningful relationships, spending time with loved ones, and cherishing the moments that truly matter.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Meditate on God’s Word

Many Christians struggle daily to live according to God’s word. But we need daily nourishment. That is why it is important to read your bible daily; even if it is a few verses and meditate on them.

Today, read Romans 8, especially verse 28, and get a copy of the daily devotional Be Encouraged.
