The Christian Life: It’s Not About the Title, But Righteous Living

By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God

It’s not merely about the title; it’s more about the walk and actions in righteousness. The essence lies in the heart of righteousness and the willingness to serve God wholeheartedly in righteousness. Be encouraged because it’s not enough to merely carry the title; it’s equally important to serve God with a heart and actions that reflect righteousness.

The walk of righteousness is what truly showcases the title.

Therefore, how we live our lives matters significantly. Living and serving God in righteousness pleases Him. Be encouraged. For a fuller teaching on this choice, read No One Is Perfect — But You Can Choose Righteousness.

Relevant Bible Verses for Study:

1. Psalm 119:172 (NKJV)

   • “My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness.”

2. Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

   • “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

3. Proverbs 21:3 (NKJV)

   • “To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.”

4. Romans 6:13 (NKJV)

   • “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”

Be blessed!

Meditate on God’s Word

Many Christians struggle daily to live according to God’s word. But we need daily nourishment. That is why it is important to read your bible daily; even if it is a few verses and meditate on them.
