The Christian Life: Thank God for the Struggles, Rejections, and Situations
By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God

I believe someone needs to be encouraged by this message.
As I prayed this morning, this message came to my spirit. If I hadn’t gone through those struggles, circumstances, rejections, and situations, I wouldn’t know what God can do in me.
Those situations had to come to reveal how much God in me can accomplish and to show how much God loves me.
Reflecting on the past, I see how God has kept me safe from poison, witchcraft, and various evils plotted against me. I can see more clearly now that whatever I went through, am going through, and will go through is for a reason and a purpose. Yes, it’s for God’s glory.
I recall a specific incident in Jamaica when I was about to go to the States. In the kitchen, God spoke to me, “When you go up, you are going to see rat poison.” He went on to be more specific, mentioning “powdered rat poison.” To my surprise, when I arrived in the States, I found exactly what God had warned me about. It was hidden, but nothing is hidden from God. He doesn’t hide anything from His people. When I confronted the person about it, they talked foolishness, never expecting me to find it. Seeing how God had put me on guard and warned me before even going to the USA showed how much God loves me.
Another incident stands out when I was about to enter a taxi. With a stern warning, God told me, “Don’t go in there!!! Don’t go in there!!! Don’t go in there!!!” With one foot already in the car, I drew myself back out, closed the door, and obeyed God’s warning. I know if I had disobeyed, I wouldn’t be here today.
God is so sweet. Trusting in Jesus and taking Him at His word is indeed sweet. What a beautiful name it is—the name of Jesus. I thank You, dear Lord Jesus, for Your goodness, grace, and mercy. I thank You for the unspeakable joy, gladness, and peace within. I thank You for Your protection.
You have protected me from all evil, just as Your Word promises. I feel so grateful, seeing that despite what I go through in life, it’s not to hurt or harm me. You, dear Lord, have allowed it because You have a plan in it all—for Your glory. I wouldn’t know what You can do in me if I hadn’t gone through those rejections, struggles, circumstances, and situations.
It was worth the push, the determination, the fight in faith. It was worth being obedient and humble while going through the process—for Your glory, dear Lord. I will allow You to continue to use me in everything You are doing in this season—for Your glory. Please don’t do it without me. I am available to be used by You.
