Letter From the Prayer Desk: Dear T, Facing Goliath in Life
Dear T, Facing Goliath in Life
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Deliverer and Redeemer.
Life has a way of placing giants in our path—obstacles so overwhelming that they make us feel helpless, stuck, or forgotten. Like David before Goliath, you may be staring at a battle that seems impossible to win. Maybe it’s financial struggles, repeated disappointments, or deep discouragement that weighs on your soul. But just as David did not fight alone, neither do you.
God Sees, God Knows, and God Will Deliver
It may feel like every door is closing, like you’ve been trying and trying but nothing changes. But take heart—God has not abandoned you. The enemy wants to convince you that your situation is hopeless, but that is a lie. The same God who made a shepherd boy a king, who fed Elijah in the wilderness, and who raised Lazarus from the dead is still moving today.
“Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Chronicles 20:15)
Right now, your situation may look like a battle, but it is not your battle alone. God is fighting for you, and He will reveal what has been hidden. He will make a way where there seems to be none.
A Prayer for You
Heavenly Father,
We lift up T and every person reading this who feels trapped, burdened, or defeated. Lord, You see every struggle, every tear, and every unspoken cry of the heart. Reveal the hidden barriers standing in the way of their breakthrough. Destroy the Goliath in their life, every power working against their success, and every plan of the enemy. Open doors no man can shut. Connect them with divine helpers and provide for them in ways beyond human understanding. Fill their hearts with renewed faith and confidence that You are working on their behalf.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
To Anyone Else Facing This Battle
If you are reading this and your heart resonates with these struggles—if you, too, have been waiting on God, feeling forgotten or hopeless—please know that you are not alone. We see you, we are standing with you, and most importantly, God is with you.
Maybe you’ve been rejected over and over again, or no matter how much effort you put in, doors remain closed. Maybe your spirit feels weary, like you have nothing left to give. Do not give up. This is not where your story ends. God is still writing it.
What You Can Do Today
- Hold onto God’s Word. Meditate on Psalm 27 and remind yourself that “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?”
- Pray with expectation. Even when you don’t see it, God is working. Keep declaring victory over your life.
- Surround yourself with faith. Find people who will stand in agreement with you in prayer.
- Take a step of faith. Sometimes, breakthrough comes when we keep moving forward, even when things seem uncertain.
We want you to know that we are here for you. If you need further prayer, reach out. You are not forgotten. You are deeply loved. And you will testify of God’s faithfulness.
Your victory is coming. Hold on.
With love and prayers,
The Prayer Team at Revealing the Christian Life Ministry
