Daily Journal: The Goodness of God

As the years go by, I grow more appreciative of the goodness of God. His faithfulness is a major factor for that appreciation as well, because unlike man, God has proven to be a constant companion.
Then…
Looking back over the years, I cannot imagine my life without God present. Facing the challenges I do, I would simply not survive. There have been moments when I see the divine intervention of God and marvel.
The scriptures are truly true.
He will give his angels charge over you to lift you up in their hands.
Psalm 91:10-12 (KJV):
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
I remember this one dream I had of walking along a busy intersection and a vehicle was headed for me. Very fast. In the blink of an eye, I was lifted by the waist and a hand sent the car crashing into the mountain side.
That time was one of intense spiritual warfare, someone had sent out a hit on me – yep someone wanted me dead – and the Lord reminded me that he would always have me, protect me and defend me. Sometimes, I might forget and think he is not near, but I believe through his language – dreams and visions, He makes himself known to me.
Glory be to God.
Now…
Though it has not been easy, God has helped me to achieve so much. As the bible saying goes, “far more than I could ever hope or imagine”.
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Without God, the life I live now would not be possible. He saw my goals, my dreams, my desires and helped me to work towards their fulfilment. Trust me, God cares about the big and little things of your heart. This song churns in my heart in gladness and gratitude.

Be Encouraged
I encourage you to trust God also. Not only for what he has done for you, but what he is doing and will do. Though the battles may be churning in your life, you can be sure, He has you in his hand.
Seek him.
Trust him.
Serve him.

Trust God to help you with that first step.
