The Poet’s Prayer: Prayer to Control Thoughts

Lord, hinder my thoughts
These retched
Tormentors,
Who bear no respite for
My weary head.
Hinder their legs,
Though seemingly
Feeble,
Do trek and traverse
My mind;
Tirelessly.

Lord, hinder my thoughts
Give me peace
Of mind;
All my hopes,
I cash in
Today;
For this singular
Prayer,
Lord I pray

Hinder my thoughts and grant me peace of mind.
