The Christian Life with Colline: Beauty for Ashes, Purified Through the Fire
By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God
God doesn’t wait until our trials are over to show His power—He meets us in the furnace. In the midst of struggles, problems, and storms, He’s working out His plans and molding us for His glory.
Message
It’s not after you’re free from every trial that God wants to use you—it’s right in the midst of them. As you push through problems, struggles, circumstances, and trials, He pours out His power and might so you can emerge victorious. His strength carries you through every challenge until the very end.
Isaiah 48:10 (NKJV) reminds us:
“Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.”
In that furnace, you’re purified—coming out as pure gold, a living testimony of God’s transformative work. Isaiah 61:3 (NKJV) promises:
“To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…”
Be encouraged. Let God use you right now, in the storm, for His glory. He’s with you until the end of time, and His favor and blessings are your portion. Continue with Rise and Shine, Seize Victory in This Season for the next encouragement in this testimony series.

Meditate on God’s Word
Many Christians struggle daily to live according to God’s word. But we need daily nourishment. That is why it is important to read your bible daily; even if it is a few verses and meditate on them.
