Spiritual Warfare Drills #3: Speak Declarations

The bible says, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23, NKJV). The heart holds desires, loyalties, and wounds; it is the well that flavors everything you do. Jesus warns that what defiles a person “proceeds out of the heart” (cf. Matthew 15:18–19). Guard it from bitterness, envy, and offense—common espionage tools of hell. Ask the Spirit to heal and reorder your desires so they agree with God.
Declarations
Speak these boldly, slowly, and twice daily.
- My mind is being renewed by the Word; I pull down strongholds and take thoughts captive to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:4–5).
- I keep my heart with all diligence; the issues of my life are governed by God (Proverbs 4:23).
- Life and death are in my tongue; I choose life-giving words (Proverbs 18:21).
- I give no place to the devil; my habits, schedule, and relationships honor Jesus (Ephesians 4:27).
- I submit to God and resist the devil; he flees from me (James 4:7).
- I am sober and vigilant; I recognize and refuse the enemy’s schemes (1 Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 2:11).

The Invitation
I invite you today to take a deep look at yourself and reflect on your life. Are you searching for something more? Are you satisfied with how things are today? Is God calling you to confess your sins, be baptized and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Have you been ignoring him? Have you been facing immense hardships and challenges? What can you do to take the first step?
Trust God to help you with that first step.
Be encouraged.
Be bold.
