Letter From the Prayer Desk: Dear St., God Can Help You Bear the Weight
Beloved St.,
I hear the weight you’re carrying—strain in your relationship with Mi., the pressure at work, the persistent cough, the battle with depression, and concern for Ti. and little Se. When storms seem to come from every direction, remember: “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:14, NKJV) You are not alone. We are praying over you now—for protection, healing, and a holy reset in your home.
A prayer over you and your family
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I lift St., Mi., Se., and their household to You. Break the cycle of turmoil—spiritual, mental, physical, and financial. Heal St.’s body—dry cough, be loosed; peace flood her mind. Touch Mi. with conviction and mercy—deliver him from addiction, anger, and instability; give him a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Calm every storm stirred by controlling influences. Cover Se. with safety, joy, and stability. Bring healing to Ti.’s skin and restore health. Establish this family in Your peace, provision, and presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Strength for the next few weeks
-
Anchor mornings: Read Psalm 27 aloud and pray, “Lord, be the strength of our home today.”
-
Cover nights: Read Psalm 91 over your space; anoint doors and beds.
-
Fast gently (as health allows): One partial fast weekly (break at 3 p.m. or 6 p.m.) for Mi.’s deliverance and your home’s peace (Mark 9:29).
-
Wise help: Alongside prayer, seek a licensed, Bible-honoring counselor for Mi.’s addiction/anger and for your depression. For your persistent cough, please consult a healthcare professional—God works through wisdom and care.
A word of encouragement
What you’re facing is a layered stronghold; these rarely fall in a day. But seeds of prayer always bear fruit when we do not faint: “Let us not grow weary while doing good… we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9, NKJV) Keep sowing—your harvest is coming.
