Letter From the Prayer Desk: Dear Leh, Continue to Honor God

Revealing The Christian Life banner 1

Grace and peace to you, Leh,

Matters of the heart can be very difficult and the pain can cut so deep. Thank you for trusting me with something so tender. I hear your love for An., your desire to honor God, and the ache of distance, war in Ukraine, and financial strain. None of this is simple. Yet the Lord who sees both of you also knows the path that leads to truth, healing, and peace.

A word for your heart

“Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” (Psalm 37:5, NKJV)

Ask God to hold your hopes while He guards your heart. Pray for what you desire, but anchor yourself in His best—even when that best requires patience, boundaries, and surrender.

How to pray in this season

  • Pray for a Damascus-road encounter for An.—that Jesus would meet her clearly and mercifully (Acts 9:3–6), lift shame, and set her feet on a path of salvation and wholeness.

  • Pray for holy peace and rest over her mind and sleep (Psalm 4:8), and for safe, dignifying work so finances no longer push her toward what harms her soul (Deuteronomy 8:18).

  • Pray for trusted believers in Kyiv to find and support her, and for spiritual family around both of you (Hebrews 10:24–25).

  • Pray for your own wisdom and purity—to love her without control, to set godly boundaries, and to place the relationship in God’s hands (James 1:5; Philippians 4:7).

A prayer for you both

Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift Le. and An. before You. Calm the storms of war, fear, and lack. Visit An. with Your love and truth; let scales fall from her eyes and lead her into salvation, freedom, and stable provision that honors You. Surround her with godly helpers. Strengthen Le. with wisdom, patience, and a pure heart. If this relationship is of You, knit it together in spirit, mind, and purpose—free from compromise, rooted in Christ. And if it is not, kindly redirect and heal both hearts. We trust Your perfect will. Amen.

Counsel for the journey

Walk by faith and wisdom: keep communication kind and pressure-free; refuse to participate in or fund what wounds the soul; fast one day weekly (as health allows), breaking at 3 p.m. or 6 p.m., praying for encounter, deliverance, and God’s will above all (Mark 9:29). Each night read Psalm 91 aloud and ask the Lord to shepherd both of you.

If doors reopen, pursue Christ-centered connection first—shared Scripture, prayer, and practical plans for healthy work and community. True closeness must stand on truth.

Resources to strengthen you

Le., your longing is heard, and your prayers matter. Keep sowing the seeds of intercession—God knows how to bring a harvest in the right way and time. Please share an update when you can; I’ll continue to stand with you in faith and wisdom.
