Letter From the Prayer Desk: Dear An, Prayer for the Pain, Numbness, and Uncertainty

Peace and Grace to You, An,

Grace and peace to you, An.,

Thank you for sharing so honestly. I’m sorry for the pain, numbness, and uncertainty you’ve been facing. When tests give no clear answer, it can feel frightening—but take heart: the Lord sees you fully, body and spirit. We will stand with you in prayer, believing for clarity, healing, and peace.

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I lift An. before Your throne. Let every root of affliction—whether physical or spiritual—be exposed and uprooted. Speak “peace, be still” to nerve pain and numbness, to the chest, back, sides, and feet. Regulate blood sugar, restore circulation, and quiet every storm in her body. I plead the blood of Jesus over her life and home. Let Your healing virtue flow now. “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord (Jeremiah 30:17, NKJV). Amen.

A few steps for the next 14 days:

  • Each night, read Psalm 91 aloud over your body; anoint your chest, back, and doors, declaring Jesus’ Lordship over your home.

  • Each morning, declare: “By His stripes I am healed” (Isaiah 53:5, NKJV) and “The peace of God guards my heart and mind” (Philippians 4:7, NKJV).

  • Set one gentle fast day per week (as health allows with diabetes—choose a modified fast that is safe for you). Use that time to worship and pray specifically for healing and discernment.

  • Keep a simple log of episodes (time, duration, activity, stress level). This helps prayer focus and gives your clinician clearer data if follow-up is needed.

A word of wisdom: while we contend spiritually, also continue wise medical care. Because you’re experiencing chest-area symptoms and numbness, please keep your follow-up appointments, manage your diabetes as directed, and seek urgent care if symptoms escalate. God works through prayer and prudence.

Resources to strengthen you:

Finally, let this promise steady your heart: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV). We are praying for you, An.—for complete healing, settled peace, and clear answers. Please send an update so we can keep agreeing with you in prayer.
