Letter From the Prayer Desk: Dear Ma, Stand in Faith for Healing and Restoration
Dear Ma,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing this serious concern about your brother. I want to acknowledge this as a very real and weighty prayer request. When the heart is involved—physically or emotionally—it naturally brings fear and urgency. Please know that the Lord sees your brother, sees the infection, sees the damage, and sees your love and concern for him.
Scripture reminds us that “I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26, NKJV). Healing is not outside of God’s reach, and restoration is not beyond His power. At the same time, God often works through medical care as well as prayer, and both are important partners in this season.
A Prayer for Your Brother
Father God,
In the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up M.’s brother before You. You are the Creator of the heart, the giver of life, and the healer of every system in the body. We ask that You intervene where infection has caused damage. Touch his heart with restoration. Neutralize every abscess, infection, and complication. Guide the doctors with wisdom, precision, and clarity, and let treatment be effective and timely.
Lord, strengthen his body, restore what has been injured, and bring peace to his heart and mind. Cover him with Your mercy and preserve his life. We trust You for healing, recovery, and renewed strength. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Be Encouraged
Continue to stand in prayer, but also encourage your brother to follow medical guidance closely. Ask God daily for wisdom, peace, and endurance during treatment. Even in serious health battles, the Lord remains near and attentive.
If you would like additional spiritual support, you may find encouragement in my book Declarations for My Health and Healing, which focuses on praying Scripture during seasons of illness. You can also visit Revealing the Christian Life Ministry online again, where we share prayers, teachings, and resources to strengthen faith during medical challenges.
Please know we are praying and believing with you. God’s mercy is active, His presence is near, and His power is not limited by diagnosis or circumstance.
The Invitation
I invite you today to take a deep look at yourself and reflect on your life. Are you searching for something more? Are you satisfied with how things are today? Is God calling you to confess your sins, be baptized and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Have you been ignoring him? Have you been facing immense hardships and challenges? What can you do to take the first step?
Trust God to help you with that first step.
Be encouraged.
Be bold.
