Read the whole journey: departure, companions, route, interruptions, arrival and purpose.
Travel dreams often contain several connected elements that should be interpreted together. The destination may matter, but so may preparation, luggage, tickets, timing, companions, transportation, delays and what happens on arrival.
Rather than assigning a fixed meaning to travel itself, use the journey as a framework for questions. What changed from beginning to end? Was the destination known? Who influenced the route? Did the dreamer arrive? These details help preserve the integrity of the dream.
Steward the Dream: Record It
Write the dream or vision down while the details are fresh. Record the date, people, setting, words, symbols, emotions and what happened before and after. Return to your journal prayerfully over time. Patterns, confirmations and later events can deepen understanding, help you recognize how God may be communicating with you, and help you identify the kind of dreamer you are becoming. Do not rely on memory alone.
