Dreams, Visions & Dream States
Dreams and visions are related forms of revelatory experience in Scripture, but RTCLM does not treat the terms as identical.
This page is an orientation hub. RTCLM already has a detailed article explaining the distinction between dreams and visions, so that article remains the primary teaching rather than being duplicated here.

Why the Distinction Matters
Correctly describing an experience helps the dreamer record it more faithfully. The goal is not to create impressive labels but to preserve what was actually experienced before interpretation begins. Details about whether the person was asleep, awake, transitioning between states, or consciously perceiving a vision may matter to later study.

Steward the Dream: Record It
Write the dream or vision down while the details are fresh. Record the date, people, setting, words, symbols, emotions and what happened before and after. Return to your journal prayerfully over time. Patterns, confirmations and later events can deepen understanding, help you recognize how God may be communicating with you, and help you identify the kind of dreamer you are becoming. Do not rely on memory alone.
