God-Given Dreams & Divine Communication
A biblical discernment gateway for examining whether a dream may carry divine instruction, warning, confirmation or revelation.
Begin With Discernment, Not Assumption
A vivid or memorable dream should not automatically be labelled a message from God. Scripture shows that God can communicate through dreams, while biblical discernment also requires believers to test what they receive. The dream’s full context, its fruit, its consistency with Scripture and prayerful discernment all matter.

“I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a dream.”
Numbers 12:6, NKJV

Steward the Dream: Record It
Write the dream or vision down while the details are fresh. Record the date, people, setting, words, symbols, emotions and what happened before and after. Return to your journal prayerfully over time. Patterns, confirmations and later events can deepen understanding and help you compare what repeats over time. They may also help you discern whether a dream was spiritually significant, but they should not be treated as automatic proof that God is communicating or as a measure of prophetic status. Do not rely on memory alone.
