Literal Dreams & Direct Messages
When the central message may be more direct than symbolic, careful testing still matters.
Not every dream depends on complex symbolism. Some dream experiences may present a direct instruction, conversation, warning or situation. Even then, clarity in the dream does not remove the responsibility to test the perceived message against Scripture and exercise wisdom before acting.
Write down exactly what occurred before adding interpretation. Separate direct words and actions from later impressions, and do not make major decisions solely because a dream felt unusually clear.

Steward the Dream: Record It
Write the dream or vision down while the details are fresh. Record the date, people, setting, words, symbols, emotions and what happened before and after. Return to your journal prayerfully over time. Patterns, confirmations and later events can deepen understanding and help you compare what repeats over time. They may also help you discern whether a dream was spiritually significant, but they should not be treated as automatic proof that God is communicating or as a measure of prophetic status. Do not rely on memory alone.
