Praying After a Disturbing Dream
The first response to a troubling dream does not have to be panic. RTCLM encourages prayer, careful recording, Scripture and discernment.
A Calm, Biblical Response
- Write down the dream before details fade.
- Pray for wisdom, protection and clarity without rushing to label the dream.
- Reject fear and remember that interpretation must remain subject to Scripture.
- Note recurring people, places, actions or outcomes.
- If the dream suggests a specific concern, pray about the concern without making accusations or major decisions based on the dream alone.
- Return to the record later; some understanding develops over time.
Scripture anchors: Psalm 4:8; Psalm 91; Ephesians 6:10–18; Philippians 4:6–8; James 1:5.
Where Scripture is quoted elsewhere in the Knowledge Center, RTCLM uses the NKJV. References are provided here so readers can pray and study the passages in context.
