Christian Meditation: Sickness, the trying of your faith

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. – Psalm 34:17-20 ESV

The pain I feel today, shall be unto the glory of God tomorrow and forever.-Poetess Denise Fyffe.

Everyday the devil will attempt to break you, to bring you down, to kill and destroy you; he never stops. His arsenal includes strife and illness. One of the most effective weapons, illness or sickness, can break the human spirit with not much effort and in order to counteract this tactic, we need to tap into God.

God alone can provide the fortitude, miracles, love, grace and mercy to endure this kind of testing. They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and this is true. If you die, and you are His child, you go to be with Him in heaven. So, let not the trying of your faith produce a broken spirit, but endure it n humility, trusting God for deliverance.
