Christian Prophecy: How Much does God Love You

If God gave His son because He loved you, what else don’t you think He would do, so that you who believe should not perish…..

As I rested my head on my pillow, preparing to drift off into the sea of dreams; I prayed to God and said “is there anything you want me to write about tonight, Lord?”.

Then, a familiar scripture seeped into my spirit and my mind:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.-John 3:16

The message began to rise from the mist in my mind and God said he wanted His people to understand how much He loved them.

The scripture actually has two distinct messages:

  • For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son…
  • …that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Despite whether you believe in Christ Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Savior…God loves you. He has given the ultimate sacrifice any parent can give and that is to give up their own child…for His other children.

This might be an incomprehensible concept to some, but it still sheds light on the depths of God’s love for mankind.

Jesus offered Himself to be slain and thus death had to relinquish its dominance over us for eternity. When Jesus came on earth he was despised, abused, tortured, suffered great pain, pierced and He was killed. All this so that we may have eternal life.

  • …that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

For his sacrifice to fully redeem and save though, we must believe on Him. This is the redemptive criteria. We must believe on Christ Jesus to have eternal life; without such we will perish.

God loves you…

Like a mother with her newborn, but more.

Like a father playing with his young son, but more.

Like a man, teary eyed proposing to His girlfriend, but more.

Like a friend diving into a shark infested waters to rescue his friend, but more.

Like a stranger, diving on a train platform to rescue someone who has fallen in the path of an oncoming train, but more.

Like a father looking into the eyes of his newborn child, but more.

Like a mother crying over the body of her son who was gunned down, but more.

Like a pastor, rejoicing over a backslider returning to the flock, but more.

Like a sister giving her kidney to her dying sister, but more.

Like Jesus coming down on earth and taking lashes from a cat-o-nine…

The depths of God’s love cannot be measured. It would span the earth times infinity and go on in time beyond eternity. In a perfect world we would want for nothing. We would never be sick and we would never know death. We would never know disappointment of abandonment. We would never hate or be hated. That place is called Heaven and God wants us to join Him there, but we must believe on Him.

Matthew 10:30 (NLT) – And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.

God knows every bodily detail about every human being on earth.

God knows the pain we lock away in our hearts, which even our own consciousness is not aware of.

God knows every last sin we committed.

God knows every good intent that we are capable of.

God knows if there is someone in the world who is our perfect mate.

God knows why we were born and our purpose in this world.

God knows if we truly love Him or if we are faking it.

There is no other, who loves us like the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

Romans 8:37-39 – No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:4-5 – But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved …

Romans 5:8 – but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Zephaniah 3:17 – The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

1 Peter 5:6-7 – Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Psalm 86:15 – But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

God has proven His love for hundred of years. he is the same God yesterday, today and forever. He will never forsake or forget you.

God loved Noah enough to spare his family from the flood.

God loved Daniel enough to close a Lions mouth.

God loved the three Hebrew boys enough to save them in the fiery furnace.

God loved Saul enough to not have David kill him.

God loved David enough to spare him when he killed Bathsheba’s husband.

God loved Israel enough to rescue them every single time they cried out to Him, after suffering for their disobedience.

God loved Jonah enough to spare His life, even when he was in the whale’s belly.

In the same way he loves you His child, his creation, His…
