Leave Those Who Offend You to God

I have had disappointments and I have suffered even greater disappointments, like the ones I had this week. Apart from being sick and going to urgent care, some of my plans fell through in a big way, this weekend.

Today, I decided to suck it up and push through it.

So, off I went to handle a matter and close that chapter of my life. – well to be fair that chapter didn’t even get to the second page. It stopped mid-sentence!

But, while the person was in the car with me, low and behold a message came on the radio. The preacher said, “Do not have bitterness and unforgiveness towards those who offend you, leave them to God.”

You want to see how fast the person change the station!

I was laughing inside. My Jesus is not easy. Sometimes, he runs to our rescue immediately. He will heap hot coal on their heads, you don’t have to do anything. Vengeance is the Lord’s, He will repay. 

Forgive and move on.

Be encouraged.

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. – Matthew 6:14-15 ESV

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” – Mark 11:25 ESV

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. – Matthew 5:38-39 ESV
