Testimony Thursday: Finding Purpose in Life’s Challenges
By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God

At times, we may question why God allows certain hardships and struggles to enter our lives. We wonder what the purpose is behind these difficult situations and may even question ourselves in the process. However, God wants us to understand that these experiences serve a greater purpose.
Discovering the Greatness Within
Through life’s trials, God reveals the greatness He has placed inside us. It is not about our own strength or willpower, but about the power of Jesus, our Savior, and God Almighty working through us. These challenges allow us to become overcomers, showing us that it is His might and power that enable us to persevere.
Being Instruments for God’s Glory
God uses these situations to mold us into instruments for His glory. As we walk through these struggles, we become vessels through which His greatness can shine. It’s not about us but about Him working within us to accomplish His divine purposes.
Elevation to a Higher Purpose
In this season of elevation, God desires to use us to display the greatness we carry within. Often, we are not fully aware of the potential we possess. As we surrender to His will and allow Him to work through us, we will experience blessings and favor beyond our understanding.
Embracing God’s Plan
Instead of questioning God’s intentions, let us be encouraged to embrace His plan for our lives. God sees the greatness we carry, even when we don’t recognize it ourselves. Trust in His guiding hand and be open to the incredible ways He wants to use you for His glory.
Bible Verses:
- 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NIV) – “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”
- Philippians 4:13 (NIV) – “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
- Ephesians 2:10 (NIV) – “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
- 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) – “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
- Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
May these verses encourage you to trust in God’s plan and recognize the greatness He has placed within you. Surrender to His purpose, and let His power shine through your life for His glory. Be blessed as you walk in His path, knowing that He is using you in amazing ways.
Conclusion: Surrender to God’s Purpose
Let us surrender to God’s purpose in our lives, even in the midst of challenges. Know that you carry greatness within you, and God wants to use you to showcase His power and love.
Embrace His plan for your life, and be a vessel for His glory. In doing so, you will experience His favor and blessings in ways you never imagined.
Be blessed!
