The Christian Life with Colline: Don’t Prevent or Stop Your Children from Baptizing and Serving Almighty God (Part 2)

By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God

Allow God to use your children as He used Samuel. Though they may be little, there is no limit to God’s power in their lives. They are born with gifts, they are created with purpose, and they carry divine assignments. God reminds parents and guardians: children are a blessing entrusted to you, but ultimately, they belong to Him.

The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV):
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Parents are called not to hinder God’s plans for their children, but to guide, support, and release them into the purposes He has ordained. These little ones are not just “future Christians” — they are already chosen vessels to bring glory to His name.

Parents: Don’t Repeat the Mistakes of Disobedience

God also says this: for many of you, He wanted to use you powerfully, but you resisted His will. You turned away from His plans, and that was your choice. But now, do not transfer that disobedience onto your children. Do not block the destiny God has already written over their lives.

Remember the warning of Jesus in Matthew 18:6 (NKJV):
“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Your child may be the very one God intends to use for healing, deliverance, or salvation in your own family. Do not hinder them — instead, nurture the gift of God within them.

No Sin Too Deep for God’s Grace

Maybe you’re reading this and thinking of your own sins — gambling, addiction, adultery, lying, homosexuality, fornication, or any other form of bondage. Hear this truth: there is no sin so deep that the blood of Jesus cannot wash it away.

The Bible declares in Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV):
“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Your child is not the only one with purpose — so are you. God has been waiting to do miraculous works in your life and in your children’s lives, but delay has come because of disobedience. The time to surrender is now.

Your Blessing May Be Tied to Your Child’s Obedience

Here is a deep truth God wants parents to understand: the very breakthrough you are praying for may be tied to your child’s obedience. That child you are preventing from baptism — that “Joseph,” that “Samuel,” that “David” — may be carrying the keys to unlock your blessings.

Joseph’s journey in the Bible not only saved a nation but preserved his own family during famine. Likewise, your child’s walk with God may be the channel through which your family experiences deliverance, provision, and favor.

Genesis 50:20 (NKJV):
“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”

Do not stand in the way of the “Joseph” in your household. Instead, support them and watch God bring forth blessings through their obedience.

Final Encouragement

Parents, your blessings are tied up in the plans God has for your children’s lives. Do not interfere. Do not delay. Do not block the flow of God’s purpose. Release them into His hands and allow Him to use them for His glory.

Be encouraged, be obedient, and know this: when you allow your children to serve God freely, you will also share in the blessings that flow from their obedience.

Be blessed!

Meditate on God’s Word

Many Christians struggle daily to live according to God’s word. But we need daily nourishment. That is why it is important to read your bible daily; even if it is a few verses and meditate on them.
