Morning Meditation: Understanding Salvation and Grace

by Minister Denise N. Fyffe

If you’ve recently accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you’ve made the most important decision of your life. Congratulations!

A New Beginning in Christ

You’ve stepped into a divine covenant—a spiritual rebirth that marks the beginning of your journey in the Kingdom of God. But what does it truly mean to be saved? And what is this grace that everyone speaks of? Let us walk together through the Word of God and uncover the beauty and power of salvation and grace.

What Is Salvation?

Salvation is the divine rescue mission of God. It is His plan to redeem mankind from sin and eternal separation from Him. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we are offered forgiveness, restoration, and eternal life.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 6:23.

Salvation is not earned. It is not a reward for good behavior. It is a gift—freely given, yet purchased at the highest cost: the blood of Jesus. When you accepted Christ, you were:

  • Forgiven of all sin
  • Adopted into the family of God
  • Sealed with the Holy Spirit
  • Empowered to live a new life

You are no longer a slave to sin. You are a child of God.

What Is Grace?

Grace is the unmerited favor of God. It is His kindness, His mercy, His love poured out on us—not because we deserve it, but because He is good.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” — Ephesians 2:8–9

Grace is the power behind your salvation. It is the divine enablement that allows you to live righteously, walk in victory, and grow in faith. Grace is not a license to sin—it is the strength to overcome sin.

Living in Grace

As a new believer, you may stumble. You may feel unworthy. But grace reminds you that your righteousness is not based on your performance—it’s based on Christ’s finished work.

Declare this today:

“I am saved by grace. I am loved by God. I am empowered to live a holy life.”

Grace teaches us to:

  • Repent quickly when we fall
  • Forgive freely as we’ve been forgiven
  • Serve joyfully without striving
  • Trust deeply in God’s promises

A Prayer for New Believers

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of salvation. Thank You for Your grace that covers me, strengthens me, and leads me into truth. Help me to walk in the fullness of Your love and to grow daily in faith. I receive Your forgiveness, Your mercy, and Your power to live a life that pleases You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be Encouraged

Beloved, salvation is your foundation. Grace is your fuel. You are not alone—God walks with you, teaches you, and transforms you daily.

Stay rooted in His Word.

Stay connected to His Spirit.

And never forget: you are chosen, redeemed, and deeply loved. Welcome to the Christian life. Welcome to grace.

I hope you find this word a blessing and that the Word of God works effectively in your life.

Be encouraged and stay blessed.

The Invitation

I invite you today to take a deep look and think about your life. Is God calling you to be baptized and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Have you been ignoring him? Have you been facing immense hardships and challenges? What can you do to take the first step? How can you trust that he will help you to take the next step?

Be encouraged.

Be bold. Answer the Call.

In Jesus mighty name, Amen.

And remember, be encouraged.

  1. Thank you so much for your Ministry. I am a 82yr old intercessor who is bedfast. I pray all day long for the salvation of souls. I have Moslem caregivers to whom I am witnessing. One carer (not Moslem) has just been converted. I will find your post very helpful. Thank you.

Please send me all your posts. Thank you. Pam McCaskie

    2. The Lord has given me many opportunities to save souls: with Operation Mobilisation in Spain and France during my student days, and in the late 90s and into the 2000s He sent me to be a missionary in India. The Lord granted beautiful healings for those lovely, needy Indian people.

A caregiver, who was a witch, hated me because I’m a Christian. Unknown to me, she out a curse on me and I developed a strangulated hernia. The surgeon told me afterwards that he had literally had to fight for my life. He said few people recover from a strangulated hernia. Exactly a year later to the day, I sustained another injury. If I’d realised at the time that she was cursing me, I’d have prayed against this and broken the curses in the Name of Jesus. The Lord has given more wisdom now.

I didn’t know how the carer who was saved could be baptised . The leader of our large international Intercessors told me to make the .Sign of the Cross on her forehead. I did that, and she did the same for her children. As I can no longer go out to evangelise, Jesus sends needy souls to me! God bless you Pam
