Spiritual Warfare
Over the past several decades we have watched as good, upstanding leaders in our churches have been destroyed by Satan’s strongholds in their lives. It appears to me that many of today’s Christians do not realize the importance of spiritual warfare, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12) We must take a stand against it and carry out the teachings from God’s Word, for without Jesus and His power we are nothing. Left to our own devices, we shall perish, and this world’s time is very short.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. I believe two vital weapons are prayer, and the Word. Use the Word in your prayers to gain momentum. Warfare is real, but spiritual. Remember the chariots of fire that Elisha saw? They are real also. Strong angels come to protect, and surround those who love Him. My school child saw an angel when I stepped out of the classroom to bow my head. I needed help. It was given.

I often draw angels. One is the Angel and the Preacher, a painting I did. It took me three times to get as far as I took the angel.

I have never seen angels, but I know at least one time I was rescued by an angel. I could have swiped about 8 cars as the road was icy and I was going around a bend in the road. It was slippery with ice. As I went toward the cars, I cried out, “Jesus! Jesus!” The car straightened up without much ado.
