Daily Christian Journal: The Promises Of God

Today, I have made a concerted effort to focus on the promises of God. I said repeatedly, ‘I trust you Lord. ”

I trust you when things look dim.

I trust when depression tries to set in.

I trust you when men fail to keep their promises.

I trust you when those I trusted turn around and betray me.

I trust you regardless of the hurricane and tornadoes of life that spin uncontrolled about my territory.

Why? Because greater is He that is within me, than he that is in the world. Greater is He that stands by my side. Greater is He that defends me on the left and on the right. Greater is He that has held my hand before birth. Greater is He when my friends turn their backs on me and when men fail me.

Greater is the God of Abraham, Jacob and Issac.

Greater is the God of David, Samuel and Elijah.

Greater is the one that fights my battles and wins at all costs for the sake of the one’s He loves.

Greater is the Lord God Almighty.

He is, He is, He is Greater.

Amen.
