The Lord woke me very early this morning, at 5:30 a.m., certainly this is not my usual hours; but I could not go back to sleep.
Exercising the Attitude of Christ
I had time to do everything; make breakfast, move at a slower pace and listen to TBC Radio. One program spoke to treating people with the ‘ATTITUDE OF CHRIST’.
After the day I had at work yesterday, it was the message I needed. So I planned that I would be exercising the attitude of Christ in my Christian Life, especially at work.
This is the attitude I will adopt today.
Yesterday and for the past two weeks the antics of the devil and ‘human spirits’ have been making my life a living hell.
My coworker started to act out scenes, it seems from the exorcist. Though I tried hard to be ‘Christian like’, though I tried to ignore her antics; I couldn’t help but be disgusted by the immorality that was prevalent in my work environment.
Things definitely came to a head, where I felt the tension building up, saw the devil executing his plans to escalate the situation. But through the storm God has been present. He has provided cover, words of compassion, words of understanding, clarity and the urge to pray without ceasing. While my heartbeat increased and usually my temper would flare.
I was given the words to talk myself down. So I told myself that it wasn’t worth it, remain calm and allow the scene to play out.
I was given the seal to keep my mouth shut.
I was given the fortitude to exercise the attitude of Christ in my Christian Life. Later that day my boss said she appreciated my restraint and that I did not respond to the provocations.
Even while I write this message, the provocations continue. Nonetheless, as 1 Corinthians 10:13 states:
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
So you see, even when your life is ‘head over heels’, God is there to right the wrongs.
He knows the greater purpose.
He knows what the end will be.
He knows this is just one in many of the battles we have to face as Christians and another opportunity in exercising the attitude of Christ in your Christian Life.
All praise, glory and honor to Jehovah God.
Meditate on God’s Word
Many Christians struggle daily to live according to God’s word. But we need daily nourishment. That is why it is important to read your bible daily; even if it is a few verses and meditate on them.
