Testimony Thursday: A Message of Hope, Don’t Throw in the Towel
By: Colline Goulbourne, Evangelizing Servant of God

In times of despair, remember that this is not the moment to give up. Do not throw in the towel or contemplate taking your own life; that is not the solution to your problems. God calls upon you to bring all your burdens to Him, for He will deliver and help you. He promises to grant you peace, joy, and happiness. God is the one who sets you free from the shackles of despair.
God’s Unwavering Presence
Know that God will never leave you nor forsake you. His love for you is unconditional and unending. He is the God of the impossible, capable of transforming your burdens into unspeakable joy. In your darkest moments, find encouragement in the fact that you have a purpose in life. Your time on Earth is precious, meant to fulfill God’s will and bring glory to His name.
Hold on to Hope
Amidst the trials and tribulations, hold on to hope, for God is by your side. Let His love surround you and fill your heart with strength. You are not alone in this journey, and your life holds significant value in God’s plan. Trust in His guidance and embrace His promises, for He will see you through every challenge.
Bible Verses:
- Psalm 34:17-18 (NIV) – “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
- Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
- Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV) – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
- 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) – “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Let these verses remind you of God’s love and care for you. You are not alone in your struggles, and God’s promises are true. Trust in Him, and He will lead you to peace and joy amidst your challenges. Be encouraged, for your life has a meaningful purpose in God’s divine plan.
Conclusion: Embracing God’s Love and Purpose
During the toughest times, do not lose sight of God’s love and presence. Remember that He holds the key to turn your burdens into joy and set you free from despair. Your life has a profound purpose, designed to bring glory to God through His will.
Embrace the love and hope that God offers, for He is the source of true peace and happiness. Stand strong, knowing that God’s love is unwavering and His plans for you are filled with hope and goodness.
Be blessed!
