The Dreamer, A Kingdom Position

By: Minister Denise N. Fyffe

In the intricate tapestry of biblical roles, the position of a dreamer emerges as a kingdom calling of unparalleled influence. While most biblical offices are inherently tied to the church, the dreamer’s role extends into the realm of governance, making it a distinctive and powerful appointment. Deuteronomy 13:1 explicitly recognizes a “dreamer of dreams,” which is important to my teaching on the dreamer’s calling and responsibility. The “one in a thousand” language, however, comes from Job 33:23 and refers there to a messenger or interpreter; it should not be used as a numerical formula for dreamers. The weight and reach of a dreamer’s influence come instead from God’s gifting, calling, training, maturity and kingdom assignment. Those who encounter a dreamer find themselves drawn into a divine narrative, where destinies are often transformed and the course of history rewritten.

Dreamers: Architects of Positive Change

Properly trained dreamers are not mere passive recipients of celestial messages; they are architects of positive change. Armed with the ability to interpret dreams and divine insight, they possess the knowledge to intervene effectively, altering the trajectory of future events on both personal and large-scale fronts. The stories of dreamers throughout history are replete with instances where their timely intervention averted crises, saved lives, and brought about favorable outcomes. Their understanding of the language of dreams equips them to navigate the ethereal terrain with precision and wisdom.

Don’t Delay: Seek Interpretation

For those who find themselves grappling with the enigmatic messages of their dreams, swift action is imperative. Delaying the quest for interpretation can lead to missed opportunities and fading recollections. The longer one waits, the higher the likelihood of forgetting the dream’s details and the divine insights it carries. Dreamers, with their unique abilities, stand ready to assist those in need of dream interpretation. Seeking their guidance as soon as a dream is received ensures that the message is deciphered promptly, maximizing its potential impact.
