One of the main practices that I adopted while on my 40 day fasting, was drinking lots of water. Lots and lots and lots of water. Well, it was necessary because we were experiencing a rather hot summer, in drought conditions.
Fortunately, my fridge was stocked with exactly that and only that.
Drinking Water is Essential to Life
Keep in mind that water is necessary in the process of eliminating toxins, avoiding headaches and tiredness and reducing cravings.

During my fast, it helped to minimize that feeling of hunger, which most times was actually thirst. On the days when I am off my fasts, I realize that I am not mistaking that thirst for hunger any more and I am eating less.
Glory be to God.
Water is the human body’s most-needed nutrient after oxygen. Our bodies are roughly 60% water by weight and depend on water to function. Every bodily process, from digestion to the functioning of the brain, involves water, and dehydration has some severe health risks, including fever, low blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, unconsciousness and even hallucinations. Even mild dehydration can result in tiredness, headaches, confusion, dry skin, muscle weakness, dizziness, irritability, and lightheadedness, so it’s vital to make sure to drink plenty of water.-A. Be Encouraged
It is important that we endeavor to recuperate and fast properly when we become spiritually exhausted; or avoid the occurrence, entirely. It is important that we adopt the Christian lifestyle practice, of fasting and connecting frequently to the Vine.
Meditate on God’s Word
Many Christians struggle daily to live according to God’s word. But we need daily nourishment. That is why it is important to read your bible daily; even if it is a few verses and meditate on them.
